Drake Breaks Michael Jackson’s 32-Year Old Record With 13 AMA (American Music Awards) Nominations

In 1984, Michael Jackson set a record by receiving 11 nominations from the American Music Awards. The mark has never been surpassed — until today, when the AMAs awarded Drake with 13 nominations. Drizzy is up for Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album, Favorite Rap Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Artist, Favorite Rap Song, Favorite R&B Song, and six other awards.

The AMAs are slated to go down at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on the evening of November 20th. Check out the full list of nominees below.
